Our expertise :
We allocate funds for investment depending on your goals and risk appetite determined through an exercise of
Financial Planning. Thereafter using asset allocation strategies to distribute assets and minimize risks, investments are made in a structured, hierarchical manner as below:
Diversify by
a) Country
b) Currency
c) Asset class (financial, physical & alternate assets);
Procedure for investing in Mutual Funds :
Step 1 : We define and determine your needs and accordingly recommend a scheme or multiple schemes.
Step 2 : The investment forms are then emailed to you, which you print, sign and send by post/courier.
Step 3 : A demand draft needs to be ordered through your bank and delivered directly to us: this avoids the problem of loss of cheques in transit.
Step 4 : On receipt of the forms and drafts, we scan and send you a copy of the filled application form for your records.
Step 5 : The investment form is processed at the appropriate time for investment (as determined by us) and you receive the account statement by email.
Step 6 : We send you regular updates of your portfolio on a monthly basis, and recommendations for exit as and when required.
A few things to note here are:

To transact and invest through International Money Matters Pvt. Ltd. You need to open all the required accounts with the Kotak Group - the bank accounts with Kotak Mahindra Bank and the trading and DP account with Kotak securities. The basic procedure for opening the accounts and trading remains the same but certain additional permissions and restriction are in place for NRIs.
Permission from the RBI is required for opening the accounts, which will be obtained by Kotak Mahindra bank on your behalf. This is to facilitate the easy transfer of money from the bank account to the trading account.
As per RBI regulations, NRI's are not allowed to trade in the Futures and Options segment or execute intraday trades through this set up. The number of scripts and the number of shares that can be bought by NRI's are fixed for every company by RBI.
Derivatives trading however is allowed but only on a Non-Repatriation basis. Investor accounts would be monitored directly by the NSE and a Unique Client code will have to be taken from National Securities Clearing Corporation Ltd (NSCCL) which is mandatory. The NSE would assign a unique client code to each NRI, based on the application received from the Clearing Member of the NRI.
Margin Payment :
You will have to give adhoc margin which should be 10% more than actual margin payable on the position you wish to take in the market. You can offer stock as margin, but you will be charged interest on the same.
Profitability :
No Mark-to-market profits will be given to an NRI on a daily basis. You shall be paid realized profit on expiry of each month or on square off of position.
